Workshop on National Port Master Plan held in Colombo

The Asian Development Bank assisted national port master plan was explained to industry stakeholders today in Colombo. At the meeting, the Honourable Minister of Parts & Shipping and Southern Development Sagala Ratnayaka stressed the need for examining reasons for delays in decision-making at the Sri Lanka Ports Authority in the past few years and the importance of fast-tracking the process.

A special Maersk delegation at SLPA

A special foreign delegation headed by Mr.Soren Skou – Chief Executive Officer, A.P. Moller – Maersk recently visited Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA). The delegation had special discussions with the Managing Director of SLPA Capt. Athula Hewavitharana.

Sri Lanka Ports Authority partners with Ironman 70.3

Around 739 athletes from 58 countries will swim, cycle and run, covering a distance of 113 kilometres or 70.3 miles in the event. Certainly, this event will motivate our local athletes and this will give them valuable networking opportunities.
