Response from Sri Lanka Ports Authority to fake news

The operation of all terminals belonging to the Port of Colombo continues.

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) has categorically denied the news published by a newspaper named, Anidda, and some social media outfits that the operations of the first and second phases of the Jaya Container Terminal have been halted due to an employee of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) suffering from Covid 19 symptoms.

The operation of all terminals belonging to the Port of Colombo continues.

Sri Lanka Ports Authority, therefore, urges responsible parties to refrain from publishing false news based on various rumours at such a crucial time.

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority requests to contact its Communications and Public Relations Division to get reliable and authentic information on the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) and its operations. Contact details as follows;
