Hon. State Minister of Ports Development Kanaka Herath visited the Colombo Port today (12.09.2011). The Minister made this inspection tour with the objective of getting the latest information on current situation of the Colombo Port.
Minister Kanaka Herath’s attention was drawn to the breakwater, the East Container Terminal, the Pilot Center and the Jaya Container Control Complex under the Colombo Port Expansion Project.
Mr Upali De Zoysa, Additional Managing Director of Sri Lanka Ports Authority addressed the Minister and explained future development plans of the Colombo port. Secretary to the Ministry of Ports Development Mr NPVC Piyathilaka has also joined the occasion.
