China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) Ltd; donates a Polymerase Chain Reaction Testing (PCR) machine for Sri Lanka Ports Authority
China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) Ltd; on 01st March 2020 donated a state-of-the-art Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) machine and test equipment to the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA).
Deputy Managing Director in Sri Lanka Division of the CHEC – Huang Daojun, and delegation including CHEC’s Director (Procurement Department ) – Mr. LI Yu and Mr. Ji Shuen, handed over the donation to the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) – General Daya Ratnayake at a function held at the Boardroom of SLPA.
Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA), continues to maintain an optimal operating environment in the Port of Colombo despite the prevailing Covid – 19 pandemic situation.
Taking this situation into consideration, the PCR machine and test equipment were donated by China Harbor Engineering Company (CHEC) Ltd; to SLPA at the request of the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) – General Daya Ratnayake.
The Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) – General Daya Ratnayake, in response to his request, and on behalf of SLPA and all affiliated services, conveyed his immense gratitude and thankfulness to the China Harbour Engineering Company and the Chinese Government.
SLPA’s Managing Director – Mr. H.D.A.S. Premachandra, Additional Managing Director (Operations) – Mr. Upul Jayatissa, Additional Managing Director (Technical) – Mr. Susantha Abeysiriwardena, Director (Human Resource Development) – Mr.Nalin Aponso, Chief Medical Officer – Dr. Mrs. U.S. Jayasekara and several other high ranking officials of SLPA were also present at the occasion.
