We all have a special responsibility to carry out the import and export activities of this country without any interruption. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there were some difficulties in this field like in many other fields. The importance of setting up a Covid Preventive Action Committee to overcome the current challenges was highlighted. Accordingly, the Committee was established on the instructions of the Hon. Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Minister of Ports and Shipping. Following are the views expressed by the Minister on the prevailing situation;
