The Sri Lanka Police have extended its fullest support in ensuring the safety of all and smooth running of the Port of Colombo. As another step in this direction, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) DMM Pussalla of the Research and Development Division of the Police Department, has been appointed to provide the necessary coordinating supports to ensure the activities at the port continue uninterrupted while avoiding the inconveniences expected due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Acting Inspector General of Police C D Mr Wickramaratne has made this appointment and has informed the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority, General Daya Ratnayake accordingly.
