A video containing false information regarding a container operation that took place at the Jaya Container Terminal at the Port of Colombo is currently circulating on social media. The container operation included in the video is a re-export of radioactive materials for disposal with the approval of the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Regulatory Council. The deployment of the Special Task Force is a part of the official protocol when such an operation is carried out. Therefore, the Sri Lanka Ports Authority kindly requests the public not to be deceived by the false information spread by irresponsible media institutes and social media users.
