The MSC MARIELLA, one of the largest container vessels in the world, made a significant port call at Colombo Port on 28th April 2025. The MSC MARIELLA (IMO 9934747, MMSI 636022920) is a container ship built in 2023, making it just two years old. Currently sailing under the flag of Liberia, the vessel measures an impressive 399.90 metres in length and 61.30 metres in width. With a carrying capacity of 240,739 tonnes, the MSC MARIELLA is one of the largest and most sophisticated ships to call at Colombo Port.
