In a compassionate gesture spearheaded by the Vice Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA), the organization successfully delivered a substantial donation of dry food items to the Sri Lanka Welfare Society of the Blind Women. This benevolent effort took place on the occasion of Vesak festival and was made possible through the generous contribution of employees from the secretariat and various other divisions of the SLPA.
Amidst the sacred Vesak festival, a widely celebrated Buddhist occasion observed by millions worldwide, the SLPA meticulously organized the delivery of donated dry food items. With the SLPA Chairman’s guidance, the initiative aimed to provide crucial sustenance to visually affected women, helping to alleviate their challenges in accessing nutritious food.
