Mr Upul Jayatissa has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority. The letter of appointment was handed over by the Hon. Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Minister of Ports and Shipping recently. Secretary to the Ministry of Ports and Shipping Mr. U.D.C. Jayalal and Dr. Prasantha Jayamanna, Vice Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority and many other officials were present on the occasion.
Prior to this new appointment, Mr. Jayatissa served as the Additional Managing Director of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority. Mr. Jayatissa joined the Sri Lanka Ports Authority in 1986 as a Management Trainee.
