Ports and Shipping Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena says that the government’s aim is to provide the people with essential commodities without any shortage, despite the re-emergence of the Covid-19 epidemic in the country.
Accordingly, as an essential service operations in the port and shipping sector will continue with no interruptions.
A discussion was held yesterday (03) at the Ministry of Ports and Shipping under the patronage of Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena on the future course of action in accordance with the Covid-19 guidelines.
Mr. UDC Jayalal, Secretary to the Ministry of Ports and Shipping, General (Retd.) Daya Ratnayake, Chairman of the Ports Authority, Dr. Prarashantha Jayamanne, Vice Chairman and a number of officials were present on this occasion.
