Another 200 PCR tests carried out at Colombo Port

PCR tests of a group of 200 randomly selected people were carried out on 03rd November 2020 at the Port of Colombo to ensure the health of employees who are committed to maintaining the continuity and quality of efficient Port operations. 

These tests were carried out at the Boat Yard premises as yet another effective step taken by the Management of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) to ensure the wellbeing of its employees and port users. Operations at the Port of Colombo are continuing without any hindrance and every step has been implemented to ensure the health and safety of all those involved in the Port operations and other related services amidst the pandemic.  

Chairman of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) General Daya Ratnayake, Additional Managing Director (Operations) Mr Upul Jayatissa and Additional Managing Director (Technical) Mr Susantha Abeysiriwardena were also present to inspect the PCR tests carried out at the port premises.
