Japan: Kochi Prefectural sends condolence message to SLPA

“We were deeply saddened to hear of the many casualties that occurred as a result of the recent bombings in Colombo, Negombo and Batticaloa,” the condolence message sent by the Governor of the Kochi Prefectural Government in Japan Mr Masanao Ozaki to the Chairman of Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Mr Kavan Ratnayaka, has noted.

“ Furthermore , I heard that one of the bombings took place in the area close to Port of Colombo, a member of Kochi’s International Network of Affiliated Ports, and was concerned that this might have affected those involved with the port,” the message added.

“One behalf of Kochi Prefecture, I offer my prayers for the victims, and express my heartfelt sympathies to those injured in the attacks. I sincerely hope that all those involved at Port of Colombo can return to their normal lives as soon as possible,” the message concluded.
