SLPA Chairman and Indian High Commissioner Discuss Maritime Collaboration in Colombo

Mr. Keith D. Bernard, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA), recently met with His Excellency Gopal Baglay, the High Commissioner of India, at the Indian House in Colombo.

During the meeting, both dignitaries engaged in fruitful discussions regarding the advancement of maritime connectivity between the two nations. They emphasized the importance of joint efforts in developing the maritime sector within the region.

The High Commissioner extended his gratitude to the SLPA for their cooperation and expressed India’s keen interest in participating in future development plans initiated by the Port of Colombo. The conversation also revolved around enhancing collaboration to facilitate faster ferry and cruise services connecting India and Sri Lanka.
