US Undersecretary Victoria Nuland Visits Port of Colombo

A diplomatic delegation led by the United States Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland visited the Port of Colombo recently and held bilateral discussions with Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority Dr. Prasantha Jayamanna and higher officials of the management.

“Great visiting the vibrant Port of Colombo – the largest and busiest port in the Indian Ocean – to discuss ways to increase trade and investment between our nations,” Under Secretary Nuland tweeted after the visit.

The visit was attended by US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung and other officials. An exchange of plaques also took place between dignitaries to symbolize the long-standing bilateral relationship between countries during the meeting.
