National Defence College Course Participants Visit Port of Colombo for Economic Security Module
Today, a group of course participants from the National Defence College (NDC) conducted a study visit to the Port of Colombo as part of the National Security and Strategic Studies (NS&SS) course. This visit included 41 participants, comprising both domestic and foreign officers, along with 8 senior college staff members.
The visit focused on the module “Economic Security: Regional and Global Compulsions” to enhance participants’ understanding of key economic centers in the country.
The delegation received a comprehensive overview of port operations and services from Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) officers, including Harbour Master Capt. Nirmal Silva, who provided valuable insights into the port’s functions and strategic importance.
