Capt. Nihal Keppetipola, Chairman, Sri Lanka Ports Authority, visited the Colombo International Container Terminal and South Asia Gateway Terminal in Port of Colombo today. There he met the management officials and discussed the prevailing situation of container operations and other services provided by terminals.
SAGT commenced operations at Queen Elizabeth Quay in 1999 and is one of four container terminals in the Port of Colombo. Whereas, CICT is a joint venture Company between China Merchants Port Holdings Company Limited commenced its container operations in 2013.
