Safety of all is our first priority. We have implemented all precautions recommended by health officials to protect our employees, stakeholders, as well as other interested parties from Covid19 since the outbreak was first reported. Therefore, we have ensured the port operations without any disruption.

HELPING HANDS
CONSTRUCTION OF QUARTERS FOR NURSES FIGHTING AGAINST COVID-19
Public health system strengthening has become a recognized priority for achieving major public health goals. It is our responsibility to ensure the safety of all and helping those who are fighting on the front line to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, Chairman of Sri Lanka Ports Authority Gen. Daya Ratnayake and SLPA Administration take this initiative with supports of the Royal College Old Boys' East Coast Foundation (RCOBEC Foundation) to construct the quarters for nurses working in the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (IDH). This new project shall accommodate 32 nurses. Sri Lanka Air Force and a private contracting company joined hand with the SLPA to complete this project within a very short period. The project was inaugurated on May 8, 2020.
